LOVE THE WAY YOU LOOK WITH A LABIAPLASTY

If your body has changed due to age or childbirth, or you are self-conscious about the way you look, labiaplasty might be right for you. Labiaplasty is a surgical procedure that removes excess skin and reshapes your outward appearance. It is a relatively simple outpatient procedure that can increase your confidence forever.

WHAT IS A LABIAPLASTY?

Labiaplasty, or vaginal rejuvenation, is a cosmetic surgery procedure that involves modifying the labia minora (inner lips), and/or the labia majora (outer lips). Even though there is no definition of “normal” labia length, a labiaplasty is usually performed when a person’s labia are too long. The procedure is usually performed purely for aesthetic reasons but sometimes a labiaplasty is considered medically necessary when the labia interferes with sexual intercourse, therefore causing pain or discomfort. Labiaplasty is also considered medically when chafing and irritation occur when sitting or exercising. Whatever your reason, Dr. Mordkovich will ensure the best results possible.

COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT LABIAPLASTY'S

Labiaplasty is an outpatient procedure, however you will need to take a few days off of work for recovery considering there will be some discomfort as you heal. Try to wear your loosest fitting undergarment, get a lot of sleep, eat well, and drink plenty of water prior to surgery in order to prepare your body for the healing process.
Since labiaplasty is an outpatient surgery, you will be recovering at home. Wear loose clothing for the 3 to 7 days after surgery. You may take salt or sitz baths to help with soreness, relax, try to avoid strenuous activities, and refrain from sex or tampons for about 4 to 6 weeks. Labiaplasty is a permanent solution and you will begin to see results immedately. In some cases, you may experience swelling anywhere from 6 weeks to 6 months, according to ASPS.
